The Verbum Dei Missionary Family is a spiritual family of the Catholic Church at the service of the Word of God, made up of the faithful who share the same Verbum Dei spirituality and mission.
The identity of the FaMVD is expressed in its very name: to be a "family", deeply "missionary", at the service of the proclamation of the "Word of God". It gathers people of every state of life, age, culture and social condition, who share a common vocation to be "Verbum Dei". We are all called to identify personally and as a community with Jesus, revealing in our lives the face of the One and Triune God.
The purpose of the FaMVD is to live and spread the Kingdom of God through prayer, the witness of life and the ministry of the Word, forming apostles of Christ and generating evangelizing communities.
The FaMVD seeks to support the integral human growth of each person in living out their vocation to love.
Married couples, partners, engaged couples, single mothers, divorced women, heads of household, widows. Also children and adolescents accompanied by their parents.
From each particular case, and following an accompaniment process, all participate in the mission, spirituality and life of the FaMVD.
In Cagayan de Oro we live this vocation as a community: prayer, formation, mission and witness of life.
